Make plans to attend the Manchester Old-Fashioned Christmas & Holiday Open House on Black Friday, November 28th from 6-9pm
Visit local businesses and participate in the Manchester Area Merchants Association (M.A.M.A.) raffle to win a gift basket filled with merchandise donated by participating businesses. The Manchester Town Hall tree lighting is at 6pm followed by the lighting of the Creche Nativity scene at Trinity United Church of Christ. Santa will arrive on a fire engine at 6:15pm and will hand out candy canes throughout the town. Hay wagon rides and Rohrbaugh's Bus Service will make stops to get you from one end of town to the other. Carolers will provide holiday cheer. And don't forget to visit the spectacular train garden set up at the Manchester Fire Hall. The fire department is also collecting toys at the Fire Hall.

    A fun time was had by all at Manchester Day. Lots of wonderful crafters, flea market booths, local community organizations and businesses were represented. And as always there was great eats! Be sure you put it on your calendar for next year.

  • Ordinance 181 Passed

    Manchester’s Town Council unanimously approved an ordinance 5-0 at the March 2008 meeting that was designed to cut down on excessive commuter traffic that has continually plagued residential neighborhoods within the town. Ordinance 181 will prohibit entry onto Augusta Road and Millie Way from Fridinger Mill Road between the hours of 6am-8:30am on weekdays. School buses and emergency vehicles are exempt from the ordinance.
