Manchester Parks Foundation A non-profit group dedicated to maintaining and preserving our undeveloped land and its wildlife. Funded entirely by donations, run solely by volunteers, and an opportunity for local students to earn their community service hours. Pine Valley Park Over 60 acres with 4 ˝ miles of trails, a stream, natural springs, a pond, forests and abundant wildlife. Visitors are welcome in the park from dawn to dusk. The park is located at 3400 Wilhelm Lane off Victory Street. Charlotte’s Quest Nature Center Located in Pine Valley Park, the nature center offers an opportunity for children to learn about issues concerning the environment. There are many programs available such as, Earth Kids Club, Outdoor Classroom, Nature Explorers and Nature Nook. Christmas Tree Park The 82 acre park, located off Victory Street, got its name from the fact that local civic groups sold Christmas trees to raise the funds necessary to buy the parkland. The park offers three lighted tennis courts, four ball fields, a volleyball court, several pavilions, barbeque grills and playground equipment. It is used by the North Carroll Recreation Council sports and area school field trips, as well as many area residents. The pavilions can be rented for family gatherings, company or church picnics, etc. Small pavilions are $40/day, while the larger ones cost $75/day. Lineboro-Manchester Lions Club Pool The community pool is located on Victory Street and is operated by the Lineboro/Manchester Lions Club. It is open from Memorial Day until Labor Day with yearly memberships available as well as daily admission fees and guest passes. Swim lessons are offered to members and non-members. There is also an opportunity to become a member of the North Carroll Sea Lions Swim Team. The facilities include infant, diving & lap pools, showers & dressing area, a snack bar, a snowball stand and picnic tables.
